About Me
Hi, I'm Swarup Baral, a software developer. I was born on December 8, 2005, and I am currently 20 years old. I started learning how to program because I wanted to understand how computers and software work. Since then, I have spent a lot of time writing scripts, learning different tools, and building useful apps.
Education & Background
I am studying for my graduation at Ravenshaw University, Cuttack. Before this, I did my school education at the Blind School, Cuttack. I am visually impaired, but I do not let that get in the way of my goals. Instead, I focus on building my skills in web development, tool writing, and making software accessible for everyone.
My Journey in Audio Game Development
One of my favorite areas of development is building audio-based games. Standard games depend completely on graphics, which makes them unplayable for blind or visually impaired players. Audio games use sound cues, environmental spatialization, and music to create immersive experiences instead of visual screens.
I actively use the NVGT (Non-Visual Gaming Toolkit) framework to write and design these games. I am working on creating multi-player capabilities, audio environments, and gameplay systems that are accessible and fun. My goal is to build games that anyone can play and enjoy solely using their hearing and keyboard.
